Straight out of our gleaming Jetson dreams, this new kind of hybrid car will be launched by a bunch of happy auto engineers in Boston in roughly a year's time. >>>Straight out of our gleaming Jetson dreams, this new kind of hybrid car will be launched by a bunch of happy auto engineers in Boston in roughly a year's time. It's difficult to not be giddy about this innovation—you can just hear the theme music and announcer's voice out of our sci-fi hopes. We all have our dream cars, and I think this is a whole generation's.
But Terrafugia (literally mean escape from land) has made these dreams into a reality with their hybrid—their way of saying: car that just happens to also drive on air. The company envision commuters will land then drive (just like a car with folded wings) home. It's a new kind of automobile, better yet, this creates a new kind of automotive industry! What kind of car insurance will you be paying? And how much auto insurance is standard for this kind of a hybrid?
With a $200,000 price tag I’m not sure how practical it will be for everyone but this sure sounds like a cool car that everyone will want to drive..or whatever. Unfortunately the price tag is not inclusive of car insurance which I would have to imagine will be extremely high. I can only imagine having to explain how a flock of geese you didn’t see caused your car to crash, what kind of auto insurance coverage is that? Talk about new heights to car insurance premiums! Nevertheless, if you think about how much this kind of traveling would cost, the cost of storing the vehicle, and all the other ancillary fees – this hybrid automobile is still a deal—plus,it’s a car that makes the air your highway, bringing a whole new meaning to the word hybrid.
