As San Francisco is the only city that taxes stock options, they've been bending over backwards to keep high-profile start-ups in the city to the detriment of the residents. Especially since the area is full of low-income residents. Now the residents are protesting the tax-free benefit and demanding that Twitter makes more of an effort to hire locals. What do you think? Do they have a case?
