As more stores are going 24 hours, McDonald’s has announced that they will hire 50,000 new workers through their first nationwide hiring day on the 19th. It sure sounds like a cruel joke fit for April 1, but it looks like it’s the real thing. This could translate to three to five new hires for every single McDonald’s branch—remember that they’re more ubiquitous than Starbucks.
