>>>Harvard Business School applicant, entrepreneur Mike Moradian, had every reason to celebrate - he got accepted to the school’s world famous MBA program. His way of celebrating his admission to the prestigious school, however, raised not a few eyebrows to say the least. Instead of partying out with family and friends and/or packing his bags to Boston, Moradian instead sent out a news release on PR Newswire with the headline: “Should I go to Harvard? Social Media Vote Decides for CollegeBudget.com CEO.” He did almost the same thing when during the launch of another business -- he set up a page on Facebook and asked people to vote on whether he should go to Harvard Business School or instead focus on his business, CollegeBudget.
Based on reports, Moradian didn’t really need to ask people to vote on what he needed to do given the fact that he had already paid a deposit to the school. The probability that he’s going is clearly higher. Moradian is also quoted as saying that although he did not inform HBS of his decision to use his admission the way he did, he had been in contact with officials from the school and they have not expressed any displeasure over his publicity initiatives.
