Shamcey replied without the aid of an interpreter: “If I would have to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love because the first person that I love is God who created me.”
“I have my faith and my principles, and this is what makes me who I am. If the person loves me, he’ll love my God too,” she explained.
This has sparked quite a bit of talk in the Philippines with regards to whether the answer is a smart one or a stupid one. Or, if perhaps, the question was stupid thus the stupid answer. People who shared her views, on the other hand, praised her for her faith and intelligence for that answer.
