Studies are showing that the increase in senior population during earlier times may have led to the development of new tool types and art forms. According to Professor Rachel Caspari of the University of Michigan, that when homo sapiens began enjoying some degree of longevity, civilization flowered. When grandparents are present to leave the children to, homo sapien parents may have found more time to indulge in cave paintings, trying out new recipes (why not crush this wheat?) and fashioning more intricately designed spears or clubs.
