A fraud lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court accused Deutsche Bank's New York-based home lender, MortgageIT recklessly approved 39,000 mortgages for government from 1999 to 2009 not worrying whether or not borrowers could pay the required monthly payments. MortgageIT reportedly told the government that the mortgages were solid and when they defaulted, they lied that the problems were being taken care of.
