Finally, after a decade of the US pushing Indonesia, leading radical Islamic cleric, Abu Bakar Bashir was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Mr. Bashir is the founder of the radical Jemaah Islamiyah movement, and was linked last year to members of Al Qaeda of the Veranda of Mecca. The group trained and stockpiled weapons planning attacks against foreigners and moderate Muslims. Both he and the group advocate replacing a democratic government in Indonesia with an Islamic state.
