Read more …President Barack Obama has declared recently that “we have strengthened border security beyond what many believed was possible.” What he wants to do instead, over securing the border further, is focus working on the process that would allow citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
A lot of Americans, however, are not convinced with President Obama’s statement. They do not feel that the border is secure. According to a February Report by the General Accounting Office, only 44% of the 2,000-mile of the U.S.-Mexico border is under “operational” control. That kind of data does not exactly make them feel all that safe - the President’s reassurance or the border being secure regardless.
