A 16-year old girl was sexually assaulted by 35-year old Afghani refugee for 20 minutes on an Adelaide train as other passengers watched and failed to intervene.
Reports said that the perpetrator began by asking the girl questions before groping her and putting his hand over her groin. He was sentenced to two years in jail with a one-year non-parole period.
The girl’s distressed father criticized the two-year jail term as well as the other passengers on the train for not stopping the assault.
