An Atlantic City High School may face up to 18 months in prison as well as $10,000 in fines if convicted of illegal possession of marijuana. The teacher, Wilson O. Klein, left his front door open all night which alarmed a neighbor enough to call the police. When police checked Klein’s place, they found a 40-inch marijuana plant in his bedroom closet. To date, he has been indicted on one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance....

However, considering that alcohol abuse has been reported as posing more of a problem than marijuana use, aren’t the laws on marijuana possession bordering on the unreasonable?
