This is according to Arbitron, a research firm for Out-of-Home media. Arbitron noted that the decline in rating happened around last year’s midterm elections. The main suspect for the ratings going down is the observation that right-wing commentaries may have gone too far and are alienating more and more of their audiences. However, despite the ratings slump, supporters of Limbaugh’s and Hannity’s shows aren’t worried about the Arbitron report because both shows remain in the top ranking -- No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
