In a rare, late-night Sunday nationally televised address, President Barack Obama announced the death of the terror mastermind who was considered the most wanted terrorist in the world.
"The United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden," Obama said Sunday night.
Bin Laden, the face of the Al Qaeda network worldwide, was killed in a compound in Pakistan during a firefight by a U.S. military operation authorized by Obama.
