After Philippine President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, Jr. declared that he was for the passing of the controversial Reproductive Health Bill, Catholic officials have been up in verbal arms over this presidential stance. Among PNoy’s most recent staunches critic is Former Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Oscar Cruz.



According to Oscar Cruz, passing the RH Bill will lead to the passing of other bills not support by the Catholic Church. "What’s to stop other bills like divorce and same-sex marriage? These are just introductory remarks," he said.



However, Oscar Cruz has been escalating his verbal warfare against PNoy through interviews with members of the media. In one of his more “inspired” moments, he has been quoted have sent this unsolicited piece of advice to PNoy: "Don't get married. People over 40 who get married have higher tendency to break up." The Philippine president has never been married and continues to be single.
