Meanwhile, in Connecticut, inmates protested state prison plans to ban porn in the state facilities. According to officials, the circulation of porn in the state prisons tends to undermine prison security as well as create a hostile work environment for staff. The inmates, however, counter that access to porn is their constitutional right. If the ban on porn magazines push through, the inmates are demanding that the state instead should allow them access to X-rated cable TV in order to alleviate their sensory deprivation.
