The details of this story involve Sharon Bullington, 70, negotiating a mortgage modification under the Obama administration’s Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP). However, because she made her January payment on December instead of the required month it was due, she and her husband were informed that they have been ejected from the trial plan for improper payments. She had also incorrectly wrote her routing number on her February payment which made Bank of America to cancel her modification. The Bullington’s have tried to explain to the bank but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears! Shouldn’t the government be doing something about this?
