It's great. It shows how Tufts, though always quite quirky, is on the pulse of the tech savvy youth

It's commendable. It's a recognition that there is more to academic merit than an essay and a transcript of grades.

It's a cheap trick to seem hip and timely.

It's an interesting gesture, but it should be made clear that it is an additional part of the process and not the only part.
