eReaders have already been eating away at the paper-and-ink book market. Not entirely surprising given the ease of purchase, downloading, and portability of eBooks. Plus, eBooks cost much less than traditional books. Now Apple, the makers of the ubiquitous iPads, are going into the making of digital textbooks. Will that mean the end of the heavy textbooks we used to dutifully lug to and from school?
