She has made controversial statements on homosexuality being a disease that can be “cured”. She pushed for intelligent design as a subject that must be taught in schools alongside evolution and other scientific theories. She had also called for a ? new McCarthyism in 2008 when she wished out loud that the American media take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-America.
