Yes - these countries received a great benefit from our sacrifice

No - these countries have helped us in other ways which is the same as repayment

The USA needs to worry more about its own fiscal discipline and not ask for help

The recession has significantly hurt the United States. Short term Deficit spending has created the possibility of bankruptcy in the future. This would cause a worldwide depression - even in China. Why shouldn't the United States receive economic assistance from other countries it has helped in prior years.
