In attempts to get around Roe vs. Wade, pro-lifers have tried to just make it more difficult for people to get legal abortions by providing days for waiting or counseling (pro-choice people argue that these are thinly veiled lectures on the dangers of abortion.) Because it is a state requirement for women seeking abortions to have someone lecture them about their choices, people have argued that these talks do not provide the objective guidance that these women need. Except pro-lifers argue that they're protected by freedom of speech.
