It has been argued that in spite of the gains made by the feminist movement, many gender inequalities still exist particularly from the standpoint of a heterosexual relationship. Men still earn more than women and men also do less housework than women (even when both are gainfully employed). Political positions are still predominantly occupied by men.
It has been argued by some that having sexual relationships can be “liberating” to women but can it be really liberating if there is an imbalance of power between the sexes?
