In the movie “The Notebook”, the heroine of the story ends up with Alzheimer’s disease and could not even remember the love of her life nor the children they have as a result of their love for each other. In the story, of course, Noah (the hero) does not know beforehand that Allie (the love of his life) will eventually suffer from Alzheimer’s in old age. However, what if he did? Would that have perhaps made a difference? In your case, would you marry someone that you know has a high chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease?
