The winner of the Elite Model Look contest that was recently held in Shanghai has been getting a lot of negative feedback due to her extremely thin frame. The 15-year old Julia Schneider looked emaciated and frail in a line up of models who looked “healthier” standing next to her. According to critics, the preference for extremely thin models poses the danger of setting them up as the physical ideal for impressionable girls who may not have the genes nor the kind of activities these models have to be a size 00.
