One of the biggest issues when it comes to picking the right psychiatrist is the degree of comfort you feel when revealing your most private issues during talk therapy. So it would be understandable for some men to find it difficult to speak with a female psychiatrist especially if their issues deal heavily with their ideas of the opposite sex. But are they just being difficult? It does raise the question though, why are there more female psychiatrists than male psychiatrists?
