Marijuana is illegal, yet there are questions regarding this law. For starter, it seems that there are more people that have died in car accidents due to drinking and driving compare to smoking pot. However alcoholic drinks are easily purchased in any 7-11 outlets even with the drinking age. In fact, there is more danger in smoking cigarettes compare to smoking marijuana....

Marijuana can also be use in medicine. A lot of cancer and AIDS patients benefit with marijuana use. And like prostitution, alcohol, or cigarettes if legalized, FDA or other government agencies could regulate the quality and safety of it.
Yet many say marijuana is a gateway drug. Regular use of it may lead the use to try heavier drugs like cocaine and heroine. Legalization of marijuana can also increase the chance for a minor to use it (like what is happening with alcohol and cigarettes).
