Read more …As state lawmakers weigh on the issue of gay marriage in New York, everyone is throwing in their last appeals. If the gay marriage is legalized in New York, it would be the sixth state to legalize same-sex marriage, nand more importantly, it would be the most populated state to do so.
This legislation was introduced by NY Governor Cuomo (D) and needs one more vote to pass in the state Senate. Opposition from NY Archbishop Dolan is still based on how the bill will redefine marriage. But polls taken recently have shown that there is strong statewide support for the passage of the bill. And the bill has now been passed, should all states follow suit?
