"It didn’t take long after Alvin Greene lost his U.S. Senate bid to Jim DeMint of South Carolina for the trial balloon of a possible Greene presidential run to create balloon-boy-style headlines throughout the national media.
Alvin Greene is back on the scene.
According to the unemployed former Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, who took in about 365,000 votes in the Nov. 2 elections, the media are not over-blowing this new possible presidential story line.
“I’m seriously considering [running for president],” Greene tells Free Times Nov. 10, from his home in the small South Carolina town of Manning, adding that he’s looking specifically at 2012.
“I’m thinking about it. I don’t know which party I’ll run in as a candidate,” he says. “I’m thinking about that.”"
