Fred Karger, first openly-gay Republican contender for presidential candidate, has called Michele Bachmann a liar, a hypocrite and a bigot. This was mainly over reports about the use of reparative therapy practiced at the clinic of Michele Bachman’s husband who is a clinical psychologist.



Reparative therapy treats being gay as a disorder and provides techniques that could “cure it”. When Bachmann was interviewed by a reported for WQAD to share her opinion on reparative therapy, Bachmann reportedly declined to comment.



Karger says of Bachmann "She's a liar and now that she's been busted, she's trying to divert attention away from her lies," Karger said of Bachmann to the Messenger in speaking out on the matter. "She is just another hypocrite and bigot."
