>>>President Barack Obama seems to think that what is needed is political will from both parties in order to solve the country’s “solvable” problems. This came in the heels of the recent downgrading of the U.S. credit ratings by Standard & Poor’s for the first time in this country’s history.
Obama said that the downgrade from AAA to AA+ happened because "they doubted our political system's ability to act" following the tedious but intense negotiations with congressional leaders before they finally agreed to a debt ceiling increase.
Moreover, Obama declared that what is needed is for both the Democrats and the Republicans "to put what's best for the country ahead of self-interest or party or ideology." Politics regardless, do you think agree with President Obama that this country’s economic woes are solvable? And, if it is, does he have what it takes to galvanize people together in order to get down to the business of solving it rather than bickering among themselves?
