With the Bush-era tax cuts expiring by the end of the year, the President is urging Democrats to set aside their oppositions and support the tax cut compromise knowing the disadvantages the Democrats will have come next year when the GOP take over the House of Representatives. The tax cut compromise between the White House and key Republicans include an extension of the Bush-era tax cuts for all income levels as well as an extension of unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed for 13 months.
