There are talks anew of allowing the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos a hero’s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.



According to Batac Mayor Jeffey Nalupta, many Ilocanos are waiting for the day that the late President Marcos would have a permanent burial site. Currently, Marcos’ remains are frozen in Nalupta and is frequented by tourists.



However, with issues of plunder among other national crimes against Marcos and his cronies, there is a strong resistance to allowing the then dictator a final resting place at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
