In a state where gay marriage isn't allowed, the Arkansas Supreme Court has rejected an adoption ban on gay and lesbian couples because it impedes on an individual's right to privacy. Because it forces adults who live together in a consensual private relationship to reveal their sexual orientation if they want to be able to adopt a child, if it just so happens that they are of the same sex and not related to each other.
