The latest talks between China and the Dalai Lama regarding the autonomy of Tibetan areas have ended without compromise. The region of Tibet remains as part of China and under its constitution. With an upcoming meeting between President Obama and the Dalai Lama, China's decision on this issue may affect US ties with China.
