Simon Mann was involved in an attempted coup in Equatorial Guinea, partially financed by Sir Mark Thatcher. He's recently been released on humanitarian grounds -- or so the government says. Is he getting out as a personal favor? Was his role more minimal than previously thought, or did he nearly get away with a major coup?
