Yes, we need things done. Arguments and disagreements are expected in a democratic setting but having one person take hostage what are routine appointments and widely supported legislation does not make sense.

No, though it is an extreme tactic to bring a minority opinion to light, it is one that should remain in a government that dare calls itself a democracy
