Would you support an abstinence-only Sex Education program if freed from all the moral overtones and ideological restrictions?

Yes, it can be a matter of teaching self-control, self-reliance, and most importantly, a respect for oneself and one's partner.

No, though the values of being able to police oneself are important, keeping students uninformed about what is biologically normal is problematic. Ignorance, once tolerated, becomes the responsibility of those who know better.

But the teaching of self-control must be given a context of a higher power. How will people draw strength to fight what may seem as natural urges? Also why would they do so? Self-control for the sake of self-control can seem like a shallow reason.
