Why this poll was created

It is an agreed upon fact that small business and venture capital start ups create the most jobs;

The Obama administration wants to spur on the development of High Tech environmental technologies which will be essential to America in the coming century.

Venture Capital professionals have the ability and know how to manage such investments;

Instead of just having the private sector benefit from the high returns generated in venture capital, why not have the US government match investments two to one thereby creating a $15 Billion dollar venture pool for investments, from a $10 billion US commitment in environmental technologies?

The US would create a variety of jobs fast and get a return greater than its cost not only financially but also in terms of environmental benefits and new leading technologies down the road.

    Put the government in charge of protecting the environment, and the only question is whether the Sahara desert will have a sand shortage or a flood.

    We need to start greening our energy sources NOW. We're running out of oil, we're buying too many cars, and the only way to stop it is to act.

    Small start up firms indeed create more jobs than any other type of organization and if we get high tech environmental technologies to boot...Heck, why not?

    Just more political waste of US tax dollars. The government needs to get out of the way and allow business to run itself.
