Yes, definitely! The FDA should update its banned ingredients list for cosmetics.

No, I don't think the FDA should update its list on cosmetics. Much of the EU standards aren't founded on enough research.

The beauty industry in the USA has its share of little controversies like animal testing. But it seems that FDA (known for just how quickly they crack down on ingredients in our food) has been ignoring them regarding toxic ingredients in our cosmetics. The EU safety standards have banned 1,000 ingredients from being included in cosmetics while the FDA has banned 10. Those odds don't inspire confidence.
