Read more …Some people who use social media networks (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Googlemail, Flickr and Bebo, etc.) sometimes create fictitious names to hide their true identity against stalkers.
But in a recent development, Megan Taylor Meier committed suicide after being a victim of "cyberbullying" in MySpace by a certain "Josh Evans," a fictitious account created by Lori Drew.
Social networks like Twitter and Facebook discourage members from creating fictitious accounts. However, it is still a rampant practice. Some use fake accounts or setup two different profiles so that they can separate their professional and personal lives online.
