Americans need to change their eating habits and it’s getting to be a challenge to do that. There is clearly a need for it with more and more Americans qualifying for the obese tag. What’s worse is that the standard American dies has been said to cause in part health issues like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. We can’t obviously rely on food manufacturers to produce healthier foods instead of the rather unhealthy products they’ve been coming out with. With manufacturers, it’s all about the bottom line. They will sell what will make them the most profit.
So how about if we tax junk food instead?
