With unemployment in the US becoming a major issue, shouldn’t U.S. companies hire only US citizens for top executive positions? Doing so should showcase a great deal of social responsibility on the part of the company as well as show an appreciation for American talent. However, it has also been argued that companies are about achieving good performance and that they should hire whomever they believe could deliver that performance. After all, ethical corporate governance requires that a company prioritizes ethical profit making.
