Studies have shown that the most affluent of religions is Reform Judaism (which seems to reinforce sad stereotypes.) But what remains to be surprising is that though there has been a long history of the opposite being true (according to Max Weber,) Protestants are now poorer than their Catholic brethren. Though there are definitely more factors than merely religion (the propensity to choose more service-oriented or vocational jobs, or even discrimination) that affect these numbers, the one that is made most clear is the co-relation between education and affluence.
