In much of its writing, it openly goes against any reproductive planning whatsoever that does not involve what is referred to as “natural birth control”. As a matter of fact, in countries where the Catholic Church exerts a lot of influence, it continues to present a major roadblock to planned parenthood legislation. This has the effect of not only depriving Catholics of access to reproductive assistance but depriving those who are non-Catholics as well. However, it is not a secret that many Catholics use artificial birth control methods to prevent unwanted pregnancy. They do this in spite of the strong advisory of their church against it.
