Does being on YouTube make you famous?



A lot of personalities have made it to the top, thanks to YouTube. Justin Bieber and Charice Pempengco were discovered because of YouTube. There was also Ted Williams, the homeless guy with a golden voice. As a new medium of entertainment, YouTube is watched by a lot of people including a lot of producers and talent managers who are on the scout for a new talent that YouTube might offer them.



Here’s another example. Everyone knows who Ellen DeGeneres is, right? Now thanks to YouTube, 13-year old singer Greyson Chance was discovered by Miss DeGeneres after being recorded performing the Lady Gaga song “Paparazzi” on YouTube, Now, he has a record in the making.



But does everyone benefit on what YouTube can proffer? Can YouTube replace the traditional talent search? Well, YouTube can make someone famous (or infamous) but remember, everyone pretty much has the same chance as everyone else to become "Famous" in YouTube, provided you have the talent.
