Paula Bonhomme fell in love with the person she thought was a fireman, a llama rancher with a love of words who also happens to knit. He also mentioned he had bipolar disorder.
After spending about $10,000 on gifts and leaving her husband to join her husband, Bonhomme was informed that the love of her life had died of liver cancer in 2006. It was only later that she discovered that her fireman was an elaborate fabrication by a woman in Chicago, Illinois.
Bonhomme has sued the woman and has now won the right to take her case to court.
